Verbal communication:
Verbal communication has many advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are that more information can be obtained from the users as they can go into detail about things. It also helps to create a bond between me and my peers as it gave us something to talk about. The disadvantages however are that things may be taken the wrong way and therefore misinterpreted. If someone gave me advice, and told me to complete a section of work and explained how to do it verbally, I may not understand and therefore may need them to physically show me what they mean.
Teacher broadcasting Demonstration:
There are also many advantages and disadvantages to this. The advantages are that communication is a lot easier as when things are misinterpreted, questions can be asked for reassurance. The disadvantages however are that people may feel shy when the teacher is broadcasting to a big group, and therefore they may not say anything and continue to feel confused.
Using Blogger:
The advantages to using blogger is that its an easy communication tool, there is also a lot of privacy and other settings to make the blogs confidential. Blogger allowed to have creative ways to present my work from normal programs as it was easy to simple take print screens and upload them. The disadvantages are that it took some time to start getting used to the layout and the what the site could actually do. Creating public posts was an issue and embedding links in to the site took some time. However now I can use the site correctly with very little support
Using Gmail
Gmail allowed me to communicate with my peers and teachers as we needed it for marking and for commenting on some of the tasks. Other than this, i did not use gmail very often.Publishing images:
When publishing images it was hard to start with as I was not aware of how to change the file type however my peers had helped and shown me how to do this and it was a lot simpler than i though it would be. After this i did not have any difficulties converting and uploading the images.
Powerpoint:
Powerpoint had many advantages and very little disadvantages as i was used to using the program from other subjects. The advantages were that my work could be layout in different styles with different colours/patterns making it more creative. Changing the file type to images once the work was completed was a great help as I could easily upload everything to blogger.
Publisher:
The advantages to using this program was that it was simple to use and i needed very little guidance as there were templates i could work off.
However considering i had never used the program before, it was difficult to get used to the layout but it didn't take that long because help was provided.
Google Calendar
This took me some time and had many advantages and disadvantages. Using the site itself was simple and easy as the layout was understandable. Also after you had embedded once, there was no need to do it again as it changed automatically. However the disadvantages were that embedding the site itself was complicated however i overcame this by the teacher showing a quick tutorial on how to complete it and therefore it was easy.
